Remember, the answers are within you!

In your search it really helps to have an experienced guide. That's who we are at Career You Love Counseling Services and that's what we do. We've been through the process ourselves and guided many others in their search for a more fulfilling career.

Hello! My name is Bob Olsen and Career You Love Counseling Services is the name of my professional counseling practice.  Although I used the editorial "we" in writing my web site, I'm in business for myself.

As to my credentials, I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and have been recognized by the National Career Development Association as a Master Career Counselor (MCC). I have been in practice as a career counselor since 1995. My office is in Fairfield, Connecticut.

My counselor training includes a Master of Arts in Counseling from Fairfield University and a Career Development Certificate from John F. Kennedy University in California. To these I would add my life experience of  a career change from  chemical engineering to follow my passion as a counselor.

In the work I do I say upfront that I don't have the answers. You do! Some people are disappointed to hear this, but it's true. My job is to listen and share in your process!

Learning about your passion and taking steps to express this energy as your career is a personal journey. While I offer my services over the Internet, I do not counsel by e-mail, preferring instead to work in person or, when necessary,  by phone.

Regarding respect for your privacy, I will keep confidential the counseling relationship and information resulting from it. The only exception is when I believe there is a risk that you intend to harm yourself or others. In this situation I am guided by the American Counseling Association Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice, available at their web site: http://www.counseling.org

The phone number for Career You Love Counseling Services is a direct connection to my office. There are no voice mail menus to wade through and no other counselors to whom you'll be assigned. I look forward to hearing from you.
