How does an apple seed know what it's going to be when it grows up, that its "career" is to become an apple tree?

Likewise, there is an intelligence within you that contains the plans for your career. The only difference is that the development of your career is not automatic. Your conscious participation is required to unlock and implement the career plans hidden within.
Think of your career as a team effort in which your conscious mind works with your inner intelligence in unfolding your unique gifts. In this process, the motivating energy of your passion is the vital connecting link.
Viewing your career in this way suggests that instead of looking for what's "hot" in the job market, you consciously participate with your inner intelligence in making career decisions. It's important here not to be misled by outside distractions. To do so would be like an apple tree trying to grow kiwis because they're "hot" in the marketplace. Even if that were possible it doesn't make sense, does it?
Better to bear the fruit that expresses your true nature as your career!
